Troubleshooting ROHA in Cloud

You can use commands to troubleshoot Resource Optimized High Availability (ROHA) in Cloud operations in your cluster.

To view all data that is related to ROHA in Cloud, run the clmgr view report roha command. The ROHA in Cloud configuration might delay the runtime of the clmgr view report roha command. If this command fails with a timeout error, you can manually prefix the timeout duration by specifying the CLMGR_TIMEOUT=##seconds attribute while rerunning the clmgr view report roha command.

You can view general information in the ROHA in Cloud configuration by running the clodmget HACMPnode command on a PowerHA® SystemMirror® node.

To run consistency checks on all nodes in your cluster, run the clmgr verify cluster command.

PowerHA SystemMirror logs the following information in the /var/hacmp/log/hacmp.out file:
  • The results of the query, compute, identify, and apply phases of the allocation and release processes.
  • All software allocations and releases that are installed.
  • All data that persisted into the HACMPdynresop Object Data Manager (ODM) entry. The ODM entry contains the results of the last ROHA operation that was completed. You can display the ODM entry by running the clodmget HACMPdynresop command.
  • The event summaries that you can use to track the processing.
  • All ROHA operations that are completed.
Note: The ROHA operations contain the ROHALOG string. You can find the output of ROHA operations in the hacmp.out file by running the grep ROHALOG /var/hacmp/log/hacmp.out command.
PowerHA SystemMirror logs the following information in the /var/hacmp/log/cloudroha.log file:
  • Authentication issues that are related to Cloud (if any).
  • Data that is related to the Cloud operations such as query, acquires, or release performed on logical partitions (LPARs) of IBM Power® Systems Virtual Servers.
