| Prompt for deployment
tree on startup |
Select this check
box to display the Select Deployment Tree Location dialog box each
time you start FileNet Deployment
Manager (the
default). If you clear this check box, the Select Deployment Tree
Location dialog is not displayed the next time that you start FileNet Deployment
Manager. You can display this
dialog box at any time by selecting Switch Deployment
Tree from the File menu.
Tip: You can also prevent the display of the dialog
box by selecting the Use this as the default and do not
ask again check box in the Select Deployment Tree Location
dialog.

| Enable FIPS 140-ready
mode |
Select this check
box to enable FileNet Deployment
Manager to
run in FIPS 140-ready mode (the default). When you use this mode,
the application does not save passwords to disk; it retains obfuscated
passwords in memory. To enable passwords to be encrypted and saved
in the environment definition files, clear this check box.
For more information about how FileNet Deployment
Manager handles passwords, see About passwords.
|
| Enable warning dialog
box for many-to-one principal mappings |
Select this check
box to display a warning dialog box if any many-to-one mappings of
security principals are found during asset conversion (the default).
Otherwise, if this check box is cleared, any many-to-one security
principal mappings that are found are processed without displaying
a warning dialog box. For more information, see Warning
for many-to-one security principal mappings. For more information
about many-to-one security principal mapping, see Many-to-one
security principal mappings. |
| Clean up output folder
if export or convert operation fails |
Select this check
box to delete incomplete output files and subfolders if the export
or convert operation fails (the default). |
| Export metadata assets that were created by
an AddOn |
Select an option to specify whether you want
to include metadata assets that were created by an add-on when the
assets are exported. Select Always, Never,
or If Modified. |
| Help file location |
To access the FileNet P8
Platform documentation from this
interface, enter the base documentation URL for the information center
where the documentation is located. FileNet Deployment
Manager uses the base help location
to access the information center. The base URL tells the browser
where to start looking for the context-sensitive help topic.
You
can link to the online information center on www.ibm.com (the default)
or to a local information center that you install and deploy. Internet
access is required for the online information center. For more information,
see Installing IBM® FileNet P8 Platform documentation .
