To install the Wazi
Developer for Eclipse
client, do these steps.
Procedure

Open a browser on the Mainframe DEV Downloads page.

In the IBM Wazi Developer for Red Hat Code Ready Workspaces box, click
More info.

Under the Download Client column, click
Eclipse.

Click the
download
icon under the appropriate operating system.

Read the terms of the license agreements and click I agree.
The client installation file is downloaded to the default download location of your
workstation.

Extract the client file contents to a new folder, such as C:\WD4E.
Mac OS: After extracting the Wazi
Developer for Eclipse
client file contents, move the application to the Applications folder. Placing
the product in this location makes it possible to update to a new release. Updates are not possible
when the product is placed in a different folder.

Windows, Linux: Open the folder.

Windows, Linux: Open the Wazi Developer for
Eclipse folder.

To run the product, double-click WD4E.exe or the Wazi Developer for Eclipse
application.

When prompted for a workspace, type any name, such as My
Workspace.

If you will be working with local files only, then you do not need to configure the Wazi Developer for Eclipse host
components.

If you will be working with files on z/OS, then you must do one of these steps:
- Install and configure the Wazi Developer for Eclipse host
components.
- Connect to a server that has already been installed and configured.
