The device that is connected to a system I/O card might be failing.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Is the reference code 11002610 and is the system an 5148-21L, 5148-22L, 8247-21L, 8247-22L, 8247-42L, 8284-21A, 8284-22A, 8286-41A, or 8286-42A?
    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
    • No: Continue with the next failing item in the failing item list. This ends the procedure.
  2. Use word 3 of the reference code to determine the failing item to replace.
    • If word 3 is xxxx2699, there is a problem with a device connected to port location Un-P1-C1-T3. This port is used only for firmware update and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This port is not available for host operating systems. Remove any unsupported devices or replace any failing supported devices that are connected to port location Un-P1-C1-T3. If this service action does not resolve the problem, replace the system I/O card at location Un-P1-C1. This ends the procedure.
    • If word 3 is xxxx269A, there is a problem with a device connected to port location Un-P1-C1-T2. This port is used only for firmware update and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This port is not available for host operating systems. Remove any unsupported devices or replace any failing supported devices that are connected to port location Un-P1-C1-T2. If this service action does not resolve the problem, replace the system I/O card at location Un-P1-C1. This ends the procedure.
