Command line utilities

These are the commands for IBM® Standards Processing Engine.

On Windows, these commands are Windows batch (.bat) files. To run them, open an SPE console session from the Start menu, and run the commands within the console session.

On UNIX, these commands are shell scripts (.sh files). You must include the .sh extension when you run the commands (for example, spedbinit.sh).

To run these commands on UNIX, first set the SPE environment by using the spesetup.sh script. After the environment variables are set in the UNIX session, other SPE commands can be used in that session, similarly to the way they are used in the SPE console on Windows.
