You can link documents, folders, search templates, and stored searches
manually. The users who view a linked document always see the current version of that document.
Starting with Fix Pack 1, you can also make specific document versions available for
viewing.
Procedure
Complete these steps to link one or more objects:

Open a web browser and then open the IBM Content Navigator desktop
that was created for linking documents manually, by typing the following URL:
protocol://hostname:portnumber/context_root/?desktop=desktop_id
You must have access to this desktop.
For example,
type:
https://myserver.com:9443/navigator/?desktop=iccsaplink

Log on to this desktop.

In the plug-in pane on the left, click the Open Browse View icon
.

In the navigation pane on the left, select the repository that contains the objects that are to
be linked.
When prompted, log on to the repository.

In the navigation pane, open the folder that contains the objects.

Select the objects that you want to link with the same linking method and for which you want to
use the same document-linking profile. Proceed as follows:
- To link documents, folders, search templates, stored searches, you have the following options:
- If your IBM Content Navigator administrator added the link action to
the context menus, right-click the selected objects and then click .
- If your IBM Content Navigator administrator added the link action to
the toolbar menus, click Link to SAP.
To link documents of which a specific version is to be made available for viewing, complete
these steps:
- Right-click the document and then click Properties.
- On the Versions page, right-click the version that is to be made available
for viewing. Then, click Link to SAP.

In the Link Objects to SAP window, select the appropriate document-linking
profile.
The document-linking profile determines the linking method. Starting with Fix Pack 1, the
profile also determines which document version is made available for viewing.

If your IBM Content Navigator administrator lets you decide
which document version is to be made available for viewing, the Display the current
version of the documents check box is displayed. Select or clear this check box.

Click Send Bar Codes or Create Work Items,
depending on the linking method that is defined in the selected document-linking profile.
