Chassis Manager

The Chassis Manager is a feature of the IBM® Flex System Manager management software web interface that enables you to view and control all of the managed resources in a selected Flex System Enterprise Chassis.

The Chassis Manager shows high-level inventory and aggregated status information about managed resources within a chassis. In addition, the chassis map for the IBM Flex System shows information from additional resources, such as system agents, FSP, and hardware VPD. This can create a situation where the IBM Flex System chassis map displays errors that are not reported by the Chassis Management Module. The Chassis Manager also enables you to configure certain resource actions and settings.

The initial view of the Chassis Manager shows information about chassis that are under management by the management software in a table. Select a chassis to see a graphical representation of the IBM Flex System hardware.

The following illustration shows the Chassis Map view in the Chassis Manager.

If you click a resource that is represented in the Chassis Map, the details for that resource are displayed.
