Checklist: Installing central site distribution media on the target system
To install the distribution media at the target system, complete these procedures.
- If you plan to install virtual images on the target system, you must prepare the target system. Refer to Optional: Preparing the target system for virtual images.
- Install the distribution media on the target systems
by using the steps outlined in the following information of the Installing,
upgrading, or deleting IBM® i and
related software topic:
- Preparing to upgrade or replace IBM i software
- Use one of the following upgrade methods:
- Complete any tasks described in Installation tasks for the target systems that were
not done as part of a user-defined installation program. Note: Software agreements do not need to be accepted again on the target system.
When you are finished
- If you wrote a user-defined installation program, verify that the user-defined installation program (QLPUSER) loaded successfully
- If you distributed Infoprint Designer for iSeries, see Clear two files from the integrated file system.
- (Optional) Change the electronic customer support data.
When you complete the steps in this checklist, you have completed the central site distribution.
