Display multipath I/O (MPIO) device configuration

The Display MultiPath I/O (MPIO) Device Configuration service aid displays the status of MPIO devices and their connections to their parents It is capable of sending SCSI commands on each available path regardless of the default MPIO path algorithm, therefore, it is useful for testing the unused path for integrity. You may wish to run this service aid if you suspect there is a problem with the path between MPIO devices and their parents.

This service aid is capable of the following:
  1. Listing MPIO devices
  2. Listing the parents of MPIO devices
  3. Displaying the status and location of specified MPIO devices.
  4. Displaying the hierarchy of MPIO adapters and devices
You can access this service aid directly from the AIX® command line, by typing: 

/usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/umpio
