IBM AIX Dynamic System Optimizer

In addition to the Active System Optimizer (ASO) that is included with the AIX operating system, the IBM® AIX Dynamic System Optimizer is available as an added feature to extend the function of the ASO with additional optimizations.

These additional optimizations are large page optimization and data stream prefetch optimization.

Data stream prefetch optimization is supported only on POWER7® processors.
