Installing IBM Installation Manager
Use this procedure if IBM® Installation Manager is not installed.

- Preparing IBM Installation Manager
- IBM Installation Manager uses defined repositories to determine what packages are available for you to install. These repositories point to your installation media. You can manually add your offerings to IBM Installation Manager. Ensure that the Display variable is exported for the user interface mode of installation. Then, go to the IM directory and enter the ./IBMIM command to start IBM Installation Manager.
- Setting up the installation media
- The installation media for installing IBM Product Master is available either as physical CDs or as downloadable installation image files from Passport Advantage®.

Procedure
- From your installation media or from Passport Advantage, download IBM Installation Manager.
- Extract the IBM Installation Manager compressed file. The name of the compressed file is dependent upon your operating system.

Edit the install.ini file and replace
Adminwithnonadmin. - Ensure that the Display variable is exported for the user interface mode of installation.
- Open a command prompt.
- Issue the ./install command and complete the installation wizard.
