General Updates
Backup data e-discovery enhancements:
- IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now uses the Teams Export API model B for Teams Chat backup. To protect Teams Chat, you can configure an IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 (All permissions) app profile with the required permissions in addition to a custom app.
- In Settings > Backup, you can now configure exclusion policy for Teams backup, allowing you to define container‑name conditions to exclude specific containers for Teams mailbox and channel conversations from protection.
- Backup data e-discovery has been enhanced with richer search capabilities:
- The SharePoint Online module is now supported for both metadata-based and content-based searches.
- File type and File name filters are now available for the Exchange Online module, enabling targeted searches for emails by attachment type and name.
- A Mailbox type column is now available in the search results of Exchange Online.
- The following features are now available for capacity-based subscriptions with multi-Geo enabled:
- You can now configure regional storage quota and notification thresholds in Settings > Notification. Notifications will be sent when storage usage reaches the specified thresholds.
- You can now view the subscription consumption report for Microsoft 365 services by each assigned region in Subscriptions.
- A Container column is now available in the downloaded backup job report to show the container each item belongs to.
- When restoring Standard Channels without an existing team to their original location, the Microsoft Import API is used to preserve high fidelity.
- OneNote files larger than 2 GB can now be backed up successfully due to Microsoft API updates.
