General Updates

IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports queue restore for Microsoft 365 Groups and Teams in Calendar mode. Additionally, you can perform batch imports via CSV for queue restore across Microsoft 365 Groups, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.

IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports restoring a SharePoint Online site collection to a different tenant with automated site creation and data transfer.

On the Restore page, IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports searching mailbox backup data by User Principal Name (UPN) in addition to email address.

IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports bi-weekly email notifications for Coverage report summaries, including backup status, protected data size, and job details. You can enable this in Settings > Notification. Additionally, the Container column is now included in Coverage report, and the Object type column is available for Exchange Online.

Effective August 25, 2025, Microsoft discontinued usage charges for the Teams Export API (Model B) globally. After this date, no further billing events were registered and no client changes were required. Backup data e-discovery enhancements:
  • IBM Storage Protect for Cloud Microsoft 365 now supports full-text search for Exchange Online across all mailbox types (user, in-place archive, shared, and resource mailboxes). Enhanced filters include Source Service, CC, BCC, and options to exclude specific subjects or recipients, enabling more precise and comprehensive compliance searches.
