Installing IBM StreamSets

Ready to install IBM StreamSets?

Remember: All of the IBM Software Hub components that are associated with an instance of IBM Software Hub must be installed at the same version.

IBM Software Hub Version 5.3.1

A new version of IBM StreamSets was released in February 2026 with IBM Software Hub 5.3.1.

Read from IBM sources and write to Snowflake
When you deploy Data Collector engine version 7.0.0, you can read data from new sources and write data to a new target:
  • Read data from IBM Cloud Object Storage
  • Read data from IBM watsonx.data™
  • Stream data into Snowflake

Manage separate workspaces by using projects
You can now create projects to organize your work within Control Hub. Use projects as collaborative workspaces where you and your team can independently manage environments, pipelines, and jobs while your organization maintains centralized control.

The following issues were fixed in this release:
Logs not viewable after job instance stops
  • Issue: After a job instance that is created from a job template stops, the logs can no longer be viewed in the UI.
  • Resolution: Logs can be viewed after the job instance stops.
Editing a job template unintentionally upgrades active job instances
  • Issue: When you edit a job template that references a newer pipeline version, active job instances from that template automatically upgrade to the latest pipeline version. However, the template keeps the original version.
  • Resolution: Active job instances retain their original pipeline version when you edit the job template.
Alerts continue triggering after acknowledgment
  • Issue: Pipeline alerts might continue to appear as active in the Alerts view even after you acknowledge them.
  • Resolution: Acknowledged alerts are properly dismissed and no longer trigger.

Issues fixed in this release
The following issue was fixed in this release:
Cannot create a Kubernetes environment in an air-gapped cluster
  • Issue: When IBM Software Hub is installed on an air-gapped cluster, you cannot create an IBM StreamSets Kubernetes environment because the Kubernetes agent image cannot be pulled from IBM Cloud Container Registry.
  • Resolution: The IBM StreamSets Kubernetes agent image is now included in the CASE package.
