Public Key Cryptography Standards #11 subsystem configuration

The PKCS#11 subsystem automatically detects devices supporting PKCS#11. However, for some applications to use these devices, some initial setup is necessary.

You have three ways to perform these tasks:

• Through the API by writing a PKCS#11 application
• By using the SMIT option

  You access the PKCS#11 SMIT options through Manage the AIX Cryptographic Framework subsystem from the main SMIT menu (smit acf fast path) and selecting the Launch PCKS#11 Administration Tool.

• By running the PKCS#11AIX administration tool

  You access the PKCS#11 administration tool directly by running the /usr/sbin/p11admin command.
