You can configure which users can access the Warehouse Administration Console by
using WebSphere® Application
Server.
Before you begin
Log
in to
WebSphere Application
Server.
For example:
- On Windows®: From the
Start menu, click .
- From a Web browser, type: http://host_name:9060/ibm/console.
Tip: If port number 9060 is already taken, you can
find the default port number in the portdef.props file
in the following location: WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\properties.
The default port number for WebSphere Application
Server is
specified by the WC_adminhost property.
About this task
Attention: At the completion of this task, the WebSphere Administrative Console automatically
restarts the Warehouse Administration Console.
Therefore, plan accordingly and consider doing this task during down
time.
Procedure
To
configure user access to the Warehouse Administration Console:
- Open the Enterprise Application page:
- For WebSphere Application
Server V7,
click .
- For WebSphere Application
Server V6.1,
click .
- Click WHAdminConsole.
- Under Detail Properties, click Security role
to user/group mapping.
- Select the Administrator, Operator,
or Viewer role check box, and then click Map
groups. Alternatively, you can click Map users if
you want to give access to specific users. For more information
on user roles, see User roles in the Administration Console.
- Search for groups by using the wildcard * in the Search
string field and clicking Search.
- From the list of available groups, select and add those
to whom you want to give access to the Administration Console,
and then click OK.
- In the Security role to user/group mapping panel, click OK,
and then click Save to save directly to the
master configuration.
- Restart WebSphere Application
Server to activate the security role mapping.
User access to the Warehouse Administration Console is
now configured.
