Subset Pick Lists

A subset pick list contains values corresponding to all members of a regular subset or the members of a subset of a named dimension hierarchy. If the members of the subset change, the values available in the pick list change correspondingly.

A regular subset pick list is defined with the syntax subset:dimension_name:subset_name.

For example, subset:Products:Winter results in a pick list containing all members from the Winter subset of the Products dimension.

A pick list that contains the members of a subset of a named dimension hierarchy is defined with the syntax subset:dimension_name\:hierarchy_name:subset_name.

For example, subset:Products\:Europe:Electronics results in a pick list containing all members from the Electronics subset of the Europe named hierarchy in the Products dimension.
