Access the custom web service URL

To transmit quote summary data successfully back to Salesforce.com, the account-specific URL to use for making calls to the custom Web service in Salesforce.com must be known by the Sterling™ Field Sales system.

About this task

To locate the custom Web service URL for your Salesforce.com account:

Procedure

  1. Log in to your Salesforce.com account.
  2. Navigate to Apex Classes screen.
  3. The Apex Classes window is displayed in the work area. Click the WSDL hyperlink located to the left of the SciQuotingHelper class name.
  4. The SciQuotingHelper XML file is displayed. Search for the soap:address element in the SciQuotingHelper XML file. The location attribute of this element contains the custom Web service URL for your Salesforce.com account.

    To enable the transmission of quote summary data back to Salesforce.com, you must add this custom Web service URL to the ycd.sfdc.<Enterprise>.url property in the <INSTALL_DIR>/properties/customer_overrides.properties file.
