What If widget

The What If widget asks, and answers, a simple question: What would the historical stock figures look like if recommended ROP and ROQ levels were adopted?

The widget presents this scenario by juxtaposing two or more graphs against one another to illustrating the difference.

This comparison may be made in one of two ways:

  • Stock Replenishment Graphs
  • Zero-One-Two Graph

The graph that is displayed is determined by the Moving code of the item being viewed.

Stock replenishment graph

Moderate and fast-moving items display a stock replenishment graph.

This graph illustrates actual stock levels as one graph against another graph showing recalculated stock levels if recommended ROPs and ROQs were adopted.

The graph also lists, to the right, recommendations for safety stock, ROP and ROQ, along with current stock on hand.

Zero-one-two graph

Nonmoving or slow-moving items display a Zero-one-two graph.

This graph indicates the best holding of zero, one, or two items by using the intersection of two specific data points:

  • Cost per stockout
  • Mean time between demand

Other significant data points are listed on the right of the graph, including:

  • Recommendations for best stock level
  • Best stock level
  • Confidence factor in that determination
  • Input values
  • Sensitivity analysis
