Integration considerations for ECM products

To work with specific Enterprise Content Management (ECM) products, it is helpful to have an understanding of their main integration considerations, such as their Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) capabilities and limitations.

IBM® Business Process Manager supports CMIS-based interactions with any ECM product implementing the CMIS 1.0 web service interface. A specific ECM product may not support all optional CMIS capabilities (see the CMIS 1.0 standard for details). As a result, not all content integration steps offered by IBM BPM may be available for use with a specific product.
