Preparing a disk drive or solid-state drive for use in an AIX system or logical partition

Configure the newly installed disk drive or solid-state drive for your environment.

If the drive is attached to a PCI-X SCSI RAID controller, see the PCI-X SCSI RAID Controller Reference Guide for AIX in the IBM(r) AIX® Information Center. If the drive is attached to another controller, see the AIX System Management Guide: Operating System and Devices.
