LED use for the 5888 or EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure

The components inside the 5888 or EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure can be identified by their physical location code. In addition to the location code, most components have an identify light-emitting diode (LED) that can be activated.

Hardware Management Console (HMC): Click Operations > LED Status > Identify LED
AIX diagnostics: Type diag > Task Selection > Identify and Attention Indicators
Linux: Type /usrsbin/usysident -s identify -1<location code>
Advanced System Management Interface: Click System Configuration > Service Indicators or Indicators by Location Code
