Identifying Installed Watson Explorer Software Versions

When contacting product support, you may need to know the versions of Watson Explorer components that are installed on your system. Watson Explorer provides multiple ways of identifying the versions of the Watson Explorer software and its components that are installed on a given system.

Every Watson Explorer installation includes a text file, located in the root directory of your Watson Explorer software installation, that provides a list of the versions of the Watson Explorer software that were located on the media from which Watson Explorer and related software modules were installed. This file, named MANIFEST_VERSION.txt, contains a list of available components and their version numbers. For example, the manifest file that was installed as part of the Watson Explorer 11.0.0 installation is named MANIFEST_11.0.0.txt, is located by default in /opt/ibm/WEX/ (Linux) or \Program Files\IBM\WEX\ (Windows), and contains information similar to the following example:

Note: The manifest file is not updated if you subsequently install updated connectors that are provided as fix packs.
