CPACF is a set of cryptographic instructions providing improved
performance. The servers support different algorithms:
- on the IBM zSeries 990 and IBM zSeries 890
- SHA-1 algorithm is available
- on the IBM System z9 Enterprise Class and IBM System z9 Business
Class
- SHA-1 algorithm is available
- SHA-224 and SHA-256 algorithms are available
- AES algorithm using 128-bit length keys is available
- on IBM System z10 Enterprise Class, z10 Business Class, IBM zEnterprise
196, IBM zEnterprise 114 and later
- SHA-1 algorithm is available
- SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 algorithms are available
- AES algorithm using 128-, 192-, and 256-bit keys is available
