Resource status modifiers (positions 4 and 5)
The following status modifiers can appear in positions 4 and 5 of the state field. Only one modifier will be present at a time.

| /I | Persistent session recovery is in progress. This status modifier is used only for application resources. |
| /R | Persistent session recovery is pending. This status modifier is used only for application resources. |
| /S | A session is queued, pending active, or active for this logical unit, terminal, or application. See Session states and modifiers for a description of these session initiation states. |
Note: Because the abbreviation of the state code is truncated
to three characters prior to adding the two-character status modifier,
the characters that make the state code unique (the fourth and fifth
characters) might be lost. For example, if the /I modifier is appended
to PNFY1, PNFY2, or PNFY3, the new state code is PNF/I. It is not
possible to determine the original state code in this situation.
