Il pannello Runtime Environments (RTEs) fornisce un elenco degli RTE configurati nella libreria globale PARMGEN e una serie di azioni che è possibile eseguire sugli RTE selezionati o su tutti gli RTE nella libreria.
Si accede al pannello Runtime Environments (RTEs) immettendo un punto interrogativo nel campo RTE_NAME del menu Workflow.

PARMGEN interim staging and work libraries for this LPAR RTE:

- &hlq.&rte_name.WK* (WKANCMDU,WKANPARU,WKANSAMU)
- &hlq.&rte_name.WCONFIG

Locate the RTE you want to process from the list of RTEs inventoried from
the PARMGEN global library (QISUN.IDTST.PARMGEN.JCL).

Single RTE Actions: Type the action character next to the RTE name:
"S" or "/" Switch to an RTE.
"P" Display the products configured in an RTE.
"D" Delete an RTE. You cannot delete the active RTE.
Multiple RTE Actions: Type the action character next to one or more RTEs:
"L" Copy read-only (RO) elements from the SMP/E target libraries
to the RO RK* runtime libraries (KCIJPLOD job).
Multiple RTE Commands: Type the indicated command on the command line:
"LOADALL" Submit multi-load (KCIJPLOD) job for all listed RTEs.
"SHOWDESC"/"HIDEDESC" Show/Hide RTE Description for all listed RTEs.

Il pannello visualizza il nome di ciascun RTE; le librerie che condivide con altri RTE, se presenti; se l'RTE carica o meno le librerie condivise; se le variabili sono abilitate o meno nell'RTE. Facoltativamente, è possibile visualizzare una descrizione degli RTE.

Da questo pannello, è possibile eseguire le seguenti operazioni.
Azioni RTE singole
Le seguenti azioni possono essere eseguite su un singolo RTE selezionato immettendo il carattere dell'azione accanto al nome RTE:
S o /
Passare a un RTE. Utilizzare questa azione per selezionare un RTE diverso da riconfigurare utilizzando i pannelli del flusso di lavoro. Una volta immessa la selezione, si ritorna al pannello principale.
P
Visualizzare un elenco di prodotti e componenti. Utilizzare questa azione, ad esempio, per trovare un RTE che si desidera clonare.
D
Eliminare un RTE.
Più azioni RTE
È possibile eseguire le seguenti azioni su uno o più RTE selezionati:
L
Copiare i file di sola lettura dalle librerie di destinazione SMP/E alle librerie di runtime utente.
W
Copiare i file dalle librerie di lavoro WK* alle librerie RK* utente.
Comandi RTE globali
È possibile eseguire le seguenti azioni immettendo il comando indicato sulla riga comandi:
CARICO
Copiare i file di sola lettura dalle librerie di destinazione di SMP/E alle librerie di runtime utente per tutte le RTE elencate.
W2RALL
Copiare i file dalle librerie di lavoro WK* alle librerie RK* utente per tutti gli RTEs di elenco.
SHOWDESC/HIDEDESC
Visualizzare o nascondere le descrizioni di tutti gli RTE.
