Editing Party Details
You can modify party details such as Role, Number of signatories, Primary contact, and Primary address.
Procedure
To edit the Party details, follow these steps:
- Open a contract and click the Parties tab.
- Click the name of a party to modify the details.
- Select the Role for the party.
- Modify the Number of Signatories. Each primary party must have at least one signatory.
- Select the Primary Contact.
The primary contact of an internal party is the contract creator by default. The primary contact of an external party is assigned to the first external party that is added to the contract. You cannot delete an internal or external party with the primary contact role.
The primary role is assigned to only one internal and external party. Other roles can be assigned to multiple parties.
If the role for a party is changed to the primary, the role of the previous primary party changes to blank.
- Modify the Addresses and Other
Contacts.
- When an organization is added to a contract, the address selected by default depends on the address role selected in the System Settings in Administration and the address designated as Primary for that role.
- For external individuals, the default address is the Primary Legal address.
- For external organizations, any custom properties that are defined are also displayed.
- Click OK to save the modifications.
