Mapping Categories

You can map categories from the applications that are configured to publish categories. After mapping a category to the master, the VSM ID of the master is populated on the category in the data source. This VSM ID functions as a link between the data source and the master.

To map a category, complete the following steps:

1. From the Emptoris® Virtual Supply Master tab, click Categories.
2. Expand Categories, and select the required application that is configured to publish categories.
3. On the application page, click the name of the category that must be mapped in the Name column.
4. In the Category window, from the General tab, click Edit.
5. In the Master Record field, click the master record selector icon.
6. In the Select Master Record window, search for the required master category, and select it.
7. Click Save.
