Creating an SAP ArchiveLink protocol for an HTTP connection

Create a protocol for the general SAP ArchiveLink interface to the HTTP content server. Create the sample protocol HTTP1.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP GUI, enter the transaction code OAA3 to open the ArchiveLink: Communications Interface Administration window.
  2. Click the New protocol icon New protocol (F5).
  3. In the Create New Protocol window, specify the following settings:
    Field Description Example
    Protocol Type a name for the protocol. Type:
    HTTP1
    Version Specify the version of the SAP ArchiveLink HTTP Content Server Interface.

    Normally, 0045 is sufficient. However, if a cache server is used, specify 0046.

    		 Type:
    0045
    Description Specify information about this protocol. Type:
    Demo_HTTP

Results

The ArchiveLink: Communications Interface Administration window lists the new protocol.
