To more completely discover DB2 instances
on remote computer hosts, create a DB2 user.
Procedure
To create a DB2 user,
complete the following steps:
- Create a user with access to the following items:
- The DB2 database TADDM server
- All the instances in the DB2 database
TADDM server that need to be discovered
- Configure this DB2 user
to have SSH access to the system that hosts the DB2 database server.
- In the TADDM server access list, complete the following
steps to add the user name and password for the DB2 user:
- In the Discovery Management Console toolbar, click . The Access List pane
is displayed.
- Click Add. The Access
Details window is displayed.
- In the Access Details window, complete
the following information:
- In the Component Type list, select Database.
- In the Vendor list, select DB2.
- Enter the Name, User Name, and Password for the DB2 user.
- Click OK to save your information.
The Access List pane is displayed
with the new information.
