Application objects

Use application objects to control the types of applications and websites that can communicate across your network.

Using four different types of application objects, you can control how desktop applications communicate across your network, or control access to certain types of web sites and web-based applications.

Web application objects
Use web application objects to control access to categorized types of web-based applications and to control how people use them on your network.
Non-web application objects
Use non-web application objects to control the types of desktop applications that can communicate with one another on your network.
URL category objects
Use URL category objects to control access to certain types of websites and to non-categorized web-based applications on your network.
Custom URL list objects
You can use custom URL list objects to in your Network Access Policy to allow or deny access to a list of specific websites, independent of the X-Force® URL categories.
Configuring custom domain certificate category objects
Create domain certificate category objects to restrict the types of domain certificates that users can access on your network.
