Supported QoS monitoring metrics and formulas
Use information to understand the supported metrics and formulas that are used for polling the IP SLA enabled Cisco, NQA enabled Huawei, and RPM enabled Juniper devices in your network. The generic term IP SLA is used to mean the QoS monitoring in all devices.
The Network Performance Insight Formula Service calculates metric values for the data that is collected by SNMP Collector. It uses formulas that are deployed against specific entity types.
Metrics that are derived from these formulas give insight on the impact of network traffic load
on overall quality of latency sensitive network services. For example, voice call and video
streaming quality. Typically, IP SLA handles the following types of metrics:
- Delay
- Packet Loss
- Jitter
- Packet Sequence
- Connectivity
- Path
- Downtime
Normalized IP SLA KPIs that are displayed on Network Performance Insight® Dashboards from different vendors.
