Install the Optim data privacy user-defined function software for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows (UNIX/Linux)
Use the following procedure to install the Optim™ data privacy user-defined function (UDF) software for DB2® for Linux®, UNIX, and Windows in a UNIX or Linux environment.
- In the data privacy UDF installation media, locate and download the Optim-DPP-v.v.v.v_yyyymmdd-BUILDnnnn.zip file, where v.v.v.v is the version number for the Optim data privacy solution, yyyy is the four-digit year, mm is the two-digit month, dd is the two-digit day, and nnnn is the four-digit build number.
- Extract the zip file into a temporary location on a Microsoft Windows machine (for example, C:\Software\IBM\Optim\DP).
After you extract the zip file, the location includes the following
directories:

- From the temporary
location on your Windows machine,
transfer to the target system directory, in binary mode, the tar.gz
file for your operating system and DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows version
