Installing Optim Data Growth Solution
Optim™ Data Growth Solution provides capabilities to archive historical transaction records from mission-critical database applications. Application data is more safely relocated to a secure archive, thereby helping to streamline the production database to aid your efforts to reduce processing overhead. You retain universal access to archived information. The Optim Data Growth Solution can help you improve application performance, lower IT costs, and support data-retention compliance programs.
Your Data Growth Solution includes optional components such as:
- Open data manager is an optional, chargeable component that can help improve access to archived data. Optim open data manager allows standard SQL support to help Optim Data Growth clients more easily access, serve, and report on archive files using standard mechanisms such as ODBC or JDBC.
- Non Relational Connectors add data growth support for many nonrelational and legacy data sources and applies it to the proven capabilities to archive historical transaction records from mission-critical applications. Application data is more safely relocated to a secure archive, thereby helping to streamline the production database to aid your efforts to reduce processing overhead.
To install Optim Data Growth Solution on a distributed platform, obtain the installation images and choose an installation roadmap. You must then verify that your computers meet the installation requirements and install and configure Optim Data Growth Solution and any of the components that you want.
If adding data growth functionality to a previous installation of Optim Test Data Management Solution, open the Optim Configuration program and click to open the Specify Product License Key dialog and apply your new license key.
