Content Manager for z/OS components

The Content Manager for z/OS system can be scaled to fit the needs of businesses of different sizes. Depending on your needs, you can install the product in various ways.

Some typical configurations are:
  • The library server and resource manager on a single z/OS system with the system administration client on a Windows™ workstation. IBM Content Navigator is on a client system. The IBM® Content Manager Toolkit provides connectivity from IBM z/OS UNIX® System Services clients to any IBM Content Manager Version 8 system that uses the DB2 Universal Database.
  • A z/OS system as part of an enterprise system with all components on separate systems, communicating with some components on different operating systems.
  • A medium-sized system with some components combined on one server, and some components on other systems.

Your business and resources determine which of these configurations suits your needs. Your IBM representative can advise you about your options.
