Configuring operational test settings

You can configure operational test settings for Electronic Service Agent to perform the functions important to your service environment.

You configure operational test settings using the Electronic Service Agent graphical interface. Select Help from the graphical interface panels if you have questions about the specific panel or the information to enter.

To configure operational test settings, complete the following steps:

  1. Start a browser so that you can use the Electronic Service Agent graphical user interface.
  2. In the browser address field, enter https://hostname:5024/esa, where hostname is the name or IP address of the system running Electronic Service Agent.
  3. Click Settings menu from left navigation.
  4. Click Operational Test tab.
    The Operational Test Settings page is displayed.
  5. Click Enable to automatically test the connection to the IBM® Electronic Support website from IBM Electronic Service Agent.
  6. Specify the frequency and time of day that you want IBM Electronic Service Agent to run these operational tests.
  7. Click Save Settings to save your selections.
  8. Click Run operational test to run an operational test to test the connection to the IBM Electronic Support website.
