The following sections contain the results of running the FIO workload on a KVM guest for each IO type:

  • Sequential reads
  • Sequential writes
  • Random reads
  • Random writes

The figures shown in each section contain 2x2 plots with the following sub plots:

  • Top left chart - Normalized throughput. MB/s for sequential runs and IOPS for random runs.
  • Top right chart - Normalized read throughput per CPU load.
  • Bottom left chart - CPU load KVM host (includes load of the KVM guest).
  • Bottom right chart - CPU load KVM guest.
