An SMB server is configured using an LPAR installed with a SLES12 SP1 Linux-based distribution.

The Samba server needs the following packages installed:

  • samba
  • samba-client

The Samba client system needs the following packages installed:

  • samba-client
  • samba-common
  • samba-common-tools
