RFx Template

You can use the RFx template to import new RFx(s) into the application and to export existing RFx(s) from the application.

Structure of the RFx Template

This template supports ALL RFx types. It is divided into the following sections:

RFx Basic/Header Section in RFx Template
Exchange Rates
The Exchange Rates can be used for export only. They are not available for import.
Bidding Rules Section
RFx Participant Section in RFx Template
The RFx Participation section table lists the fields that are available in the RFx Participant section on the rfx template. This section is used to invite suppliers/respondents and buyer team members to the sourcing event and has one (or more) entries for each User that is invited to the event.
Questionnaire Section in RFx Template
The RFx questionnaire section lists the fields that are available in the RFx Questionnaire Section in the RFx template.
Question Section in RFx Template
The RFx question section lists the fields that are available in the RFx Question Section in the RFx template.
Item Specification and Bid field Section (Attribute Section)
You can create item specifications and bid fields in the Item Specification and Bid Field sections of the RFx template. .
Lot Section in RFx Template
The Lot section is relevant for RFQ, RFP, Auction RFx types. It contains all of the lots and associated information that suppliers bid on in the RFx. Lot appear in the order that they are displayed in the application.
Item Section in RFx Template
The Item section is relevant for RFQ, RFP, Auction RFx types. It contains all of the items and sets that suppliers bid on in the RFx. Items appear in the order that they are displayed in the application. On export, sets are also displayed in this section and indicated with an item type of all_or_none or substitution.
Bid Transformation Section
The Bid Transformation section of the RFx template is relevant for Auction RFx types. Bid transformation is the process of rewarding or penalizing suppliers by adjusting their bids to make them either more favorable or less favorable.
Attachment Section in RFx Template
You can define URL and file attachments for the RFx and for individual items, questionnaires, and questions in the Attachment Section fields.
Response Export Section
The Response Export section of the RFx template is relevant only for exported RFIs, RFPs, and Buyer Surveys.
Bid Export Section
The Bid Export section of the RFx template is relevant only for exported RFQs, RFPs, and Auctions. It is an export-only section and contains all of the bids that are submitted by suppliers. The section has one or more rows for each bid placed by a supplier, depending on the type of bid.
Defining an Item Specification or Bid field
There is no limit to the number of item specifications or bid fields that you can define.
Updating Supplier Invitations
You can update the list of suppliers that are invited to an RFx using this template.
