Contract Substatus and Comments
If you are an internal party user, you can change the substatus of a contract to indicate certain milestones. You can set the substatus for the first time, update the substatus, change the substatus category, and add a comment. The IBM Emptoris Customer determines the significance of each substatus and substatus category.
Viewing the Substatus
The current substatus is appended to the status of a contract. It is shown in the application as a link to additional information. When you click the current substatus name, the category and comment that a user applied is displayed. The name of the user and the date on which the current substatus was set are also displayed.
The substatus is displayed on the Status tab in the Contract Editor. It is also displayed on the Header tab, in the Activity log, and in the contract lists.
Substatus in notifications
You can include the substatus and the related comments in the notification template of a notification that you want to send to users.
Substatus of renewal quotes
The initial substatus of a renewal quote is Drafting. If an error occurs during generation or cotermination, the substatus automatically changes to Error.
Substatus by external applications
Certain substatus values can be set by integration with external applications. For more details, contact your Professional Services representative.
