Content Pane
The contract title, the contract clauses, the header, and the footer are listed in the Content pane.
- In the Contract Editor Language tab, move the slider between the review area and the Content pane to resize the sections. In the Word Editor, click Show/Hide Contents on the EmptorisEditor toolbar to hide the Content pane.
- The clause title or clause name is displayed in the Content pane based on the system settings for the contract language.
- If the option is set as clause title, and there is no clause title, the clause name is displayed. If a clause name is not found, then the first 50 characters of the clause text are displayed.
- If the option is set as clause name and a clause name is not found, then the first 50 characters of the clause text are displayed.
- The name or title of each clause in the contract is displayed in the order in which it appears in the contract.
- For an amended active contract, the names or titles for all the clauses and the names or titles for all the amendments that are applied to the contract are displayed in the order in which they were activated.
- If the contract title, clause name, or clause title is too long, it is truncated in the Content pane. Move the mouse pointer over the title to see the entire title as a tooltip.
- To navigate to a clause in the contract language, click the clause name or clause title.
Display Clause Title or Clause Name
Mark Clauses
Use the Mark Clauses options to identify the clauses by status or characteristic. The clauses that satisfy the selected option are marked within the Content pane. The following options are available to mark clauses:

| Amended | Clauses that are amended by an activated amendment. This option is available only if the executed contract has one or more activated amendments. |
| Defined Alternates | Clauses that have a defined list of alternate clauses available. |
| Defined Approvals | Clauses that have a defined list of approvals. |
| In Approval | Clauses that are currently selected for approval by any approver in the current approval process. |
| In Negotiation | Clauses that are not yet accepted by both contract parties
and indicate whether any attachment
is not yet accepted. This option is available only when the contract is fully negotiable and In Negotiation. the contract is ready for online execution if none of the clauses in the contract are marked when this option is selected. |
| Mapped Clauses | Clauses that are mapped to a clause template. This option is available only for received contracts and received amendments |
| Modified from Standard | Clauses that are modified after the contract is first created or clauses that represent an alternate clause. This option identifies clauses that differ from the clause template that is used or clauses that are changed after they are created from a blank clause. |
| Needing Approval | Clauses that currently require approvals initiation. |
| Needing My Approval | Clauses for which you have the approval task. |
| Needing My Review | Clauses for which you have the review task. |
| Replaced from Standard | Clauses that are replaced by an alternate clause in a contract. |
| Unmapped Clauses | Clauses that are not mapped to a clause template. This option is available only for received contracts and received amendments |
| With Comments | Clauses that have comments. |
Clause Checklist Tab and Term Checklist Tab
For a received contract or received amendment, if you choose a Word document as the language source and select a contract template for the contract, the Clause Checklist tab and Term Checklist tab are displayed in the Content pane.
Use the Clause Checklist tab and Term Checklist tab to map text from the received Word document to clause templates and term definitions in the contract template that is selected for the contract.
