Creating Files Using Your Punch
Apart from the preceding procedures that transfer whole files with
one or two commands, there are other methods that create files using
your virtual punch. From a program or an EXEC file, you can punch
one line at a time to your virtual punch. Then, enter the CLOSE command
to close the spool file:
close punch
Depending on how the
punch was spooled (the TO setting), the virtual punch file is either
punched or transferred to a virtual reader.
