Explanation
A user logged on to the RACF service machine issued the SETRACF command
to deactivate RACF. (Message
HCPRPD001I, which precedes this message, indicates which RACF service machine the request was issued
from.)
The RACF service
machine will not be able to run until you reply to this message. Therefore,
all authorization requests that it receives, including LOGON, are
delayed until you reply.
If you reply with “YES”, RACF is deactivated and ALL security
will be based on CP directory processing.
Operator response
You should contact the security or operations
managers, or both, immediately if a decision procedure is not in place.
If a “YES” reply is appropriate, enter “YES”
at the console. Any other reply you enter cancels the request and
releases the RACF service machine
indicated in the previous message. Do not respond
to this message with a “YES” unless you have positively
identified the person logged on to the user ID making the request.
