How VM Configuration Worked

With RDEVICE statements and IOCP you were limited to defining one processor or operating system per input file. This meant that you needed more than one file in a multi-CPC environment with multiple partitions when you used IOCP and RDEVICE statements.

Figure 1 illustrates the definition process using several sources for writing and modifying the hardware configuration using IOCP files.
