Purpose

Use REQUEST to make pending an attention interrupt for your virtual console.

Usage Notes

1. The REQUEST command performs the same functions as the ATTN command; you can use the two interchangeably.
2. The BEGIN command is not required after you enter REQUEST.
3. CP ignores the ATTN and REQUEST command if another attention interrupt is pending for your virtual machine, or if your virtual machine is not enabled for interrupts.
