Sending Files

Suppose you have a file that you want other people to see. If you use Shared File System (SFS) commands, you can grant the other users authority to the file so that they can share it. (See Managing Your Files for details.)

If your files are stored on a minidisk (and you cannot use SFS commands), or if, for some reason, you do not want to grant other people authority to your file, send them a copy of the file. This section shows you how to send people a copy of a file for their own personal use. Each recipient can then place the copy in permanent storage so it will be available when it is needed.
