QUERY VMRELOCATE

Read syntax diagramSkip visual syntax diagram QUERY VMRELOCATE USER userid*

Authorization

Privilege Class: A, B, C, E

Purpose

Use the QUERY VMRELOCATE command to display the relocation capability of the specified user. This command can be used to determine to which relocation domain a particular user belongs, and therefore, to which SSI members it may be relocated.

Operands

USER userid
specifies the user ID whose relocation capability is being queried. The user ID must be logged on. If * is specified, the target user is the command issuer.

Usage Notes

  1. Use the QUERY RELODOMAIN command to determine which member systems are included in the user's relocation domain.
  2. If the QUERY VMRELOCATE command is issued for a user ID defined by a multiconfiguration virtual machine definition, which cannot be relocated, the response will indicate the single-member domain of the system where the command is issued, with relocation disabled. The relocation capability of such a user cannot be changed with the SET VMRELOCATE command.
  3. For information about Using Relocation Domains, see z/VM: CP Planning and Administration.

Responses

Response 1:
