Purpose

Use Query DUMPDEV to display parameters previously defined with SET DUMPDEV.

DUMPDEV parameters identify the location of a system dumper program to be loaded as a result of a guest IPL from SCSI disk with dump. The same device is also used for storing the dump data.

is the hexadecimal 8-byte fibre channel port name of the FCP-I/O device.
LUN hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh
is the hexadecimal 8-byte logical unit number of the FCP-I/O device.
BOOTPROG n
is the decimal value between 0 and 30 specifying the program to be loaded from the FCP-I/O device.
BR_LBA hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh
is the hexadecimal logical-block address of the boot record of the FCP-I/O device.
SCPDATA
designates information to be passed to the program to be loaded during a guest IPL with dump. It is displayed in the same format (text or hex) as it was entered.
