The following functions are available from the View menu:
Clear Held Message Area
Removes all messages currently displayed in the held message area. The keyboard shortcut is
ALT+D.
Clear command Area
Removes the command history available from the command area. This function does not prevent
future commands from being listed in the history. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+D.
Hide Menu
Increases the visibility of the message areas by hiding sections such as the status bar and menu
bar. This is a convenient function to use to increase the size of the console window area when you
need to monitor several console sessions at the same time.
If the menu bar is hidden from view,
you can view it again by right-clicking any message in the held message area or the message area of
the console window. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+H.
To disable this function, set the hidestatusbarwithmenu
configuration option to disable. For more information see Console configuration.
Hide Script View, Show Script View
Toggles the script view in the left navigation of the console window. To hide scripts when they
are run, see Console configuration and the syncscriptview
configuration option. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+I.
Showing the script view does not
necessarily mean that a script is loaded. With no command script loaded, selecting Show
Script View displays an empty script view in the left navigation of the console window
where a loaded list of script commands would be displayed. Figure 1 shows this
condition. The Run, Pause, and End buttons are not active in this figure because no command script
has been loaded.
