Configuring the default memory-mapping group

A memory-mapping group, which is usually contributed by a TPF Toolkit administrator, contains memory-mapping files and display files that are used to customize the display of data for some debug views. On the Default Memory Mapping preference page, you can select the default memory-mapping group, which is applied to all the IP addresses of connected z/TPF systems.

Procedure

  1. Click Window > Preferences > Run/Debug > TPF Debug > Default Memory Mapping to open the Default Memory Mapping preference page.
  2. From the Memory Mapping Group list, select a memory-mapping group as the default memory-mapping group.
  3. Click Apply and Close.

Results

  • The memory-mapping files and display files in the selected memory-mapping group are applied to all supported debug views that support the use of memory-mapping files and display files but are not already mapped on the Mappings By Connection preference page.
  • If a debug view that supports the use of memory-mapping files and display files is open and uses an IP address that is not already mapped on the Mappings By Connection preference page, the debug view is refreshed to use the selected memory-mapping group for data display.
