Code the record ID attribute table

The record ID attribute table (RIAT) contains information about every file type in the database. The RIAT includes the following information for both fixed file and pool file records:
  • Exception recording, logging, and restoring data
  • User exit data
  • VFA candidacy and delay file threshold value
  • Record caching candidacy
  • Locking attribute.
The RIAT includes the following pool file attributes:
  • Size
  • Duration
  • Duplication.

There is one entry in the RIAT for each record ID defined in the system. See Creating the RIAT for more information about RIAT coding.
